The library started with about 700 books donated by Yoko Wiles. Our library is supported by Japan Commerce Association of Washington, D.C. Foundation, Inc. Free lending service of more than 12,000 Japanese books. We have many children’s picture books, manga, weekly or monthly- magazines and DVDs.Library volunteers are always welcome. Please visit our libraries!
We accept used Japanese books (novels and children's) that are in good condition. Donations may be added to our library collection or sold in the libraries, at Sakura Matsuri or fundraising events. You may take your donations to our libraries during operating hours. We will accept your donations and provide you with a donation receipt.
Story Time
Currently held online. This program offers the opportunity for children to read books, sing songs and play games in Japanese. For details, please contact us at carefund@jacarefund.org or mdlibrary@jacarefund.org.
